  Hey,

  How come my friend has his website on WordPress and has access to basic plugins (Elemenator, Yoast) with paying or having to upgrade to a business plan, essentially, on the basic free plan and I’m being told that in ‘order to install plugins, I need to upgrade to the business plan’.

  I’ve been with WordPress since 2013. How come I don’t have these basic features that he has?

  I guess your site is a free site running on the wordpress.com platform; the site of your friend uses the open source wordpress.org which is quite different from wordpress.com. To understand the differences between two platforms, https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
