  Hello,

  I have my own hosting and domain. In order to use the plugins do I just migrate my hosting to word press then I am able to install plugins without have to pay for the business plan?

  Hi Asata,

  On WordPress.com you will always need plan Business in order to add plugins. If you have your site hosted elsewhere, you do not need a WordPress.com site, however.

  To clear up any further confusion, there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org, and they are two different entities.

  We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.
