    Hello! Are any plugin available for free on WordPress or do I have to be a member?

    The site I need help with is vinyasavegan248911045.wordpress.com.

    Hi @vinyasavegan3, you are a member of WordPress.com already — are you trying to add plugins to a site hosted here? Or just wondering if plugins in general are free?

    The plugins themselves — bits of code you can add to a WordPress installation — are sometimes free and sometimes purchased or upgraded, so it would really depend on what plugin you’re referring to.

    As for installing them on a site hosted here, you would need our Business or eCommerce plan, as extra plugins and themes add complexity to our support and maintenance. Our service includes SSL hosting, direct WordPress support, maintenance, and security:

    Or, you are welcome to use your own free copy of WordPress with another host. You would buy the hosting, SSL if needed (make sure your hosting plan supports it), and use community resources or hired contractors as needed.
