    i want to design a website for a customer, as a proto type but i want to use elementor to design it but i cant download the plugin. can i use it for free just as a show to the customer but not publish the site?

    There is no way round but you must upgrade to the Business Plan if you want to use Elementor.

    However Elementor produces heavy and very sloppy html resulting in a slow loading site.

    You better use our native block editor as it’s optimized forvthe wordpress.com platform.
