    hi it says for me when I want to install a plugin I need FTP credentials, where do I get my FTP credentials

    I don’t know what site you are talking about, but I can tell you for sure you can’t install plugins on the wordpress.com platform unless you upgrade to the Business Plan.

    While FTP credentials are not required to install a plugin, you can find SFTP credentials for your site by visiting Settings > Hosting Configuration. Under SFTP/SSH credentials, click the Create credentials to set up SFTP access for your site.

    As mentioned by @staartmees SFTP access, as well as installing plugins is available on the WordPress.com Business or Commerce plans. You can also install plugins directly from the lefthand side of your site dashboard under Plugins.
