  To start, we need to be super clear on the difference between WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG. Right now your site is part of the WordPress.COM Family. Here’s a link:

  The big difference between the two for you, right this moment, is that WordPress.ORG allows for plug-in installation, and WordPress.COM does not. So, unfortunately, as a WordPress.COM user, you won’t be able to make use of any of the plugins you see around the web: those are for use with the WordPress.ORG sites.
