plugins

I have a dumb question that has had me bodged down all day. After installing and activating plugins how can you institute them in your page. They are located in the plugins area of the admin panel but I can’t get them (specifically the RRS feeders and some others to affect the post and/or page). I can see them but can’t use them. AAARRGGHH. Please help.

Before posting in this forum, please make sure you have a wordpress.com blog. This forum is NOT for bloggers who have a self-hosted blog who use the free WordPress blogging software. For these group of people, they have to post their questions in the wordpress.org forums. This the forum for wordpress.org blogs.

This issue is a bottleneck as I am sure that once I have gone beyond it then the gates should open.

anonymousblackman,
There is no way to install plugins on a wordpress.com blog. Are you perhaps referring to what is called widgets? http://support.wordpress.com/topic/widgets-sidebars/
