  i have several wordpress.com sites though one has a totally different interface in terms of the headings down the left hand column and the choices here from the others. i wanted to search for plugins and this option is not even available as a heading down the left hand side.

  Hi there,

  The menu items are different down the left hand side because the one which does not have a “plugin” option is hosted on WordPress.com, whereas the others are self-hosted WordPress.org sites.
