  I can’t find plugins for my blog which is using a pilow theme. Where can I find them? What phone number can I call to speak to a real live agent? Thanks.

  No phone number, and no Plug-in’s – – I am not a zombie either –

  No plugins for security and reliability reasons – that is why you have a ton of Widgets that used to be Plugin’s – what fancy function can’t you live without?

  I don’t have any plugins either. BUT there are videos all over the web about WP plugins, like WP-emember that I am trying to learn about and find out if I can implement a member’s only area. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

  There is no FTP access and no plugin capability on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

  There is no upgrade you can purchase that changes anything at all stated here http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ FTP access, and plugins are available only for VIP bloggers http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ or for those with WordPress.ORG installs.

  Ditch the videos. The support docs that apply to free hosted WordPress>COM blogs and not to WordPress>ORG installs are found here http://support.wordpress.com

  There is no FTP access and no blogger initiated plugin capability on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. There never has been. Read the support docs I linked to.

  Thanks for the info timethief. I will have to do the research I guess. I know nothing about wordpress.org or how it works. I do already have a FREE WP blog, but wanted to look into creating a membership site even if I have to go elsewhere :)

  Your site said something about only for certain people – you can do that by setting the site to Private – then invite in those with the proper handshake :)
