Plugins

  I just have a simple question. I am trying to add a plugin to our blog. Following the instructions, when I click on the Plugin button all I have is the following option:
  Want to add a store to your site?
  Support for Shopify, Ecwid, and Gumroad is now available for WordPress.com Business.
  Upgrade Now

  Do I have to Upgrade to WordPress Business version as it is asking there to add plugins? We are currently on Premium.

  From what I can tell, it’s not possible on WordPress.com, here’s a link:

  Yeah! I have the same problem too! I’ve spent more than two hours trying to figure out how to do that!!

  Blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.

  For that type of functionality you’d need a self-hosted WordPress.ORG software install running on a paid web hosting service.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.
