Plugins

I have paid for a Premium WordPress site. I want to use some of the Plugins available to optimize the pages and attract more visitors. Some parts of the WordPress FAQs seems to suggest that PlugIns should be available with Premium sites. However, The when I click on the PlugIn option in the Configure menu it simply takes me to an ‘Upgrade Now’ page. As I say, I already pay for a Premium site – does this mean I have to pay for a Business site?

Aside from the plugins for Ecommerce blogs http://en.support.wordpress.com/ecommerce/ with the Business upgrade http://store.wordpress.com/plans/business/, there is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.COM blogs. We cannot install custom or third party themes, and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.

https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/We provide support only for sites hosted by wordpress.COM. WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
