  I am trying to add a plugin from wordpress.org and can not do so. When I click on the ‘plugins’ tab it only asks me if I want to add a shop to my page (which I do not) and doesn’t give me the option to bypass that so that I can add a plugin. I am new to wordpress and am very frustrated with the site.

  Looks like you have a wordpress.com site. Can you let us know if you are having issues with your wordpress.com site or wordpress.org ?

  what is the full URL beginning with http that you need help with?

  what is the plugin that you don’t think you can live without? there are a lot of Widgets that started as plugin’s and also short codes
