  why am I not able to use plugins with a free account? Is it not available for free accounts?

  Hi!

  I’m afraid it’s not possible to install a plugin on a wordpress.com blog at all (for both free and paid plans). This platform already has a lot of plugins working automatically. There is a list with the available ones here -> https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

  But if you still feel the need to install your own plugins, maybe you should use wordpress.org. It is very similar to wordpress.com, but it has some other functionalities. You can see the differences between wordpress.com and wordpress.org here ->https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
