  I don’t see an ‘add new’ button on the plugins page anymore. How do I add a new plugin?

  Hey there,

  Here at WordPress.com, all of the plugins available to us are already installed. You can read about them here:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

  If there’s a specific plugin you want WordPress.com to support, head on over to the ideas forum and let them know!

  Another option is to self- host with a WordPress.org install. You can read about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:

  I am trying to use the MemberPress plugin. The instructions are to click New on the Plugin page to install the file that is downloaded from member press.com

  Hi @jacannon65!

  MemberPress runs on the self-hosted version of WordPress.

  There are two different versions of WordPress. Here at WordPress.com, we can’t install any third party plugins (like MemberPress.) You need a self- hosted WordPress.org site to install it.
