Hi @tsghelpsite – you can use the plugins that WordPress.com offers but at WordPress.com you are not able to install your own plugins or themes.
If you want to install/use your own plugins/themes you must consider a WordPress self-managed installation. Basically, you must download the WordPress software from WordPress.org, find a web hosting provider and after that install WordPress there. Once you have a self-managed WordPress instance, you’ll be able to install any plugins or themes you want/need.
Since we speak about WordPress.com and WordPress.org, let me give you more details regarding the differences between these two: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
The one major difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org is who’s actually hosting your website.
With WordPress.org, YOU host your own blog or website. WordPress.org is where you’ll find the free WordPress software that you can download and install on your own web server.
WordPress.com, on the other hand, takes care of all of the hosting for you. You don’t have to download software, install, configure or manage a web server.
If you have any other questions, please let us know!
Have a great day!
