Plugins

Every Video online has incorrect information! It states you can add a plugin by just clicking on add new at the top of the plugin page……..
There is no add new button!
It states you can add a header and footer by going to page editor…
There is no page editor!
The theme picture is there and how do you add a header with a theme picture?????
Why is it that the interface on your website changes so often that there is no viable correct information on the internet…..????

Hi there,
We’d be happy to help, but we require one vital piece of information. What is the URL of your website?
Bare in mind that if your websites uses the self-hosted version of WordPress rather than WordPress.com, you should post in the self-hosted forums or alternatively contact your hosting prover. Note the difference here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Bare in mind, sadly, only sites with the Business Plan can upload custom plugins. However, all sites do get access to some plugins automatically.
Learn more: https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
If you state what you’re trying to do though, there may be some alternatives, so feel free to ask. That’s assuming you’re using WordPress.com though.
Let us know this information and we’ll try and move forward. :)

Hi there,
As @torres126 already mentioned, can you please let us know your site’s address so we can point you in the right direction of getting support?

I actually found out that due to the fact that MLSP is hosting the WordPress website that plugin is not available. I wish I would have done my due diligence as there are unfortunately many things that are different.
I was trying to add a header and a footer to track on Google Analytics. It looks as though after further research I can integrate with MLSP directly and also setup the Facebook Pixel.
Thank you so much for your response. The initial reaponse about the hosting had me double check a few things to find out not everything is available to me when using mlsp.
My website address is http://tbcllc.mlspsites.com
If I switch my blog to my domain will I have more freedom with plugins? I do know MLSP allows me to change to my domain hosted by GoDaddy.
I was also curious if you guys knew the best time to allow indexing my site on Google? I want to rank high and was curious if there is a ball park of the amount of content and back links needed…
Thank you. Your fast response to my initial question is much appreciated.

Hi there,
If I switch my blog to my domain will I have more freedom with plugins?
No, it won’t. A domain is just an address that people type into their domain to reach your site, and it has no effect on how your site works. That is determined by your hosting provider, or if you’re on a multisite network like in your case, by your network admins.
To not have the restrictions of that network, you’ll need to run your own instance of WordPress on your own hosting plan directly with GoDaddy or another hosting provider.
I was also curious if you guys knew the best time to allow indexing my site on Google?
New sites typically take around eight weeks to be indexed by search engines, but that also depends on the SEO setup your network is using. We have no control over this, as MLSP is not connected or affiliated in any way with WordPress.com, so we cannot help with this.
