Plugins are using site language, instead of user interface language

    Hi,
I operate some sites in different European countries – with different languages. So I therefore set the site language to the one relevant for the audience. However, I use English as the admin interface language.

I have now noticed that several plugins (even plugins for only backend use) use the site language in the backend. When they in fact should be using the user interface language.

This causes problems because I am forced to temporarily change the site language in order to work with the plugin – and then I have to change back.

Is this a WP bug? Or are there a ton of plugins which are in need of updating?
    /Mike

    I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  • Hi there,

I do not see any sites under your WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.

Is it possible you created your site under a different login instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?

Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

    Hi,

One of the sites is http://www.zonderluier.nl. How would you check in my system, without me giving you access?

We can’t help as your site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform but is hosted elswhere meaning it uses the open source wordpress.org.

It would start by asking this to support of the problematic plugin(s).
