Plugins (Feedburner)
-
I want to get the Feedburner plugin and someone told me that I could still install it even though I have a . com site instead of a . org site. Is that true? If so, how do I do it? They said it was as simple as ” Dashboard > Plugins > Add New Plugin” but I don’t see an option for plugins on my dashboard.
Suggestions?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

“Somebody” is referring to a self-hosted WordPress.cog install and not to a free hosted WordPress.com blog.
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins into them for security reasons. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/There is no upgrade you can purchase from WordPress.com to provide FTP access and the ability to upload any plugins . To move to wordpress.org see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org

Thanks for the info! So just to clarify, even though I’m paying to use a theme on WordPress.com, since the service itself is free, I can’t install the plugin unless I move to WordPress.org?

Correct. There is no upgrade you can purchase from WordPress.com to provide FTP access and the ability to upload any plugins .
