Is plugins only for pro?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No. They are only for VIP bloggers http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ or for those with WordPress.ORG installs.

There is no FTP access to our free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we cannot install plugins. If you must have plugins then you have to hire a web host and set up your own WordPress.org install. Read the comparison here please > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

I have seen a video where somone has “plugins” in his menu (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPe7gUV30Cw) I don’t have that. How do I get it?

You did not read it before – read it now and absorb that fact that what I posted is correct. To have plugins you must hire a web host and set up your own WordPress>ORG install.

You can add social networking icons to any free hosted WordPress.COM blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/
