I have read some answers about why wordpress.com users don´t have plugins but I haven´t find any solution yet. I want to add some social plugins and I can´t find the option anywhere.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.com manages a predefined set of plugins and doesn’t allow users to upload their own.

WordPress.org gives you full control, but you have to purchase a web hosting account where you can setup the software and you must also maintain and update it on your own and the support is done through volunteer-based forums.

You can find out more about the general differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org at http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

What social plugins were you wanting to use? Perhaps WordPress.com already has something awesome and you wouldn’t even need to add a plugin on your own. Let me know what you’re looking to do and what kind of site you want to setup, and I’ll help you figure out if WordPress.com is the right best place for you.

    Hello! Thanks for answering.
I wanted to add a Pinterest plugin. I´m still new to the blog world and for the moment this is it but in the future I would like to add a shop to my site, do you know how can I do that?
I read the differences between .com and .org and maybe I should have started with a .org but I think now is too late.

    Thanks very much!

WordPress.com has a few options for Pinterest already. Here’s a good help page that covers embedding a profile, board, or pin: http://en.support.wordpress.com/embed-from-pinterest/

We also recently added support for a few different e-commerce options (like Shopify), but you need to subscribe to the business plan before you can get access to them. The business pricing is $299 per month, but it comes with a ton of excellent features, all the upgrades, premium themes, and live chat support during business hours. It’s not too late to switch. You can always move to a WordPress.org setup later if you’d like. Some people start up their blogs on WordPress.com because the basic hosting is free (no monthly fees) and then try to build an audience and then move after that.
