Plugins got removed after updating them

  • Unknown's avatar

    Dear sir/madam,

I recently got this problem that whenever I update a plugin (does not matter which one) the plugin got removed and an error message appears Error: The plugin*example* has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.’ After that the plugin is not visible in my list of plugins but it is still visible when I go to /wp-content/plugins through FTP.

Please tell me what to do, this is a very annoying issue because some plugins updates themselves and then got removed.

    Best regards.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi daschultemn,

Ah ok thank you for telling me that.
I thought I go to WordPress support because I have a problem with WordPress plugins…

I will look somewhere else now.
