  If you want to use third party plugins on the wordpress.com platform. You must upgrade to the WordPress Pro Plan.

  Can you describe in a bit more detail exactly what you’re trying to do? Where do you want to add a drop-down, and what must the drop-down contain?

  It might be possible to do what you want without using plugins.
