Plugins Menu Does Not Appear In Dashboard

I want to add a music player plugin to my site, but I can’t find a plugins menu anywhere on my dashboard. Is this something I have to enable? Do I need to upgrade to have access to plugins?

    thanks!
    sean.

  • Hi Sean – plugins aren’t permitted on WordPress.com for security reasons, but we have a music player:

You already have a space upgrade, which is all you need to upload audio directly to your site. :)

Please let us know if you have any further questions!

Thanks for getting back to me, Eurello. I’ve started just putting my songs directly onto my site using the built in music player, which is fine. But I’m having trouble with titling each track. Here’s what I’m doing, maybe I’m missing a step:

I go to pages and open the page that I want to feature music on.
Next, I click in the center of the page, and click the “Add Media” icon, which prompts me to select a song from my media library.
I select a song, and under “Attachment Details” it’s already titled the name of the file, which is fine.
    Then I click “Update”
Then I go to the website and the little media player thingy is there, and the correct file is attached, but all the songs are titled “Track 1”, regardless of what I titled them in the “Attachment Details”.
    What do I do?!?!

    Thanks!

  • Hi Sean – it looks like you’ve figured this out: http://seanbrennanmusic.com/music/

You can also display the title in the player itself by modifying the shortcode:

    For example:
