Plugins missing from dashboard- just bought domain through wordpress!
-
Hello,
I just purchased a domain through wordpress.com so my blog would have a .com domain name. I thought this would give me the plugins tab on my dashboard. I still don’t have the plugins tab on my dashboard. Was i supposed to get an email from wordpress confirming something? Because i never did.
If someone could please help me to get plugins on my site I’d really appreciate it!
ThanksThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The domain upgrade is just that. It displays your current wordpress.COM site behind your own chosen domain name. Your site is still hosted at wordpress.COM which means all the wordpress.COM restrictions, etc., still apply.
See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/#important-notes-before-upgrading .
To use plugins you have to physically move your site off of wordpress.COM and to third-party hosting such as bluehost, dreamhost, etc. Figure that to cost about $10 to $25 per month, all costs considered.

ohwell… you get what you pay for I guess.
I dont have the money as of now for that, so i guess i’ll stick with what i have. -
