Plugins on my WordPress website

Ok, so I recently got a new blog site, and was looking at getting plugins for it. After doing some minor research, I saw something about plugins not being allowed on wordpress.com. However, my website’s URL is gamerscreed.org. Would I be able to add plugins to that then? If so, how would I go about doing that then?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. At WordPress.com, we provide hosting, support, and tons of features for blogs. Users also have the option to purchase a variety of upgrades to customize the look and feel of their blog. WordPress.org is a software for self-hosted sites. With WordPress.org, users are provided access to all backend files and can upload custom themes and plugins.

So you wouldn’t be able to add plugins on your gamerscreed.org site. WordPress.com has a lot of built-in features that were inspired by popular plugins. Chances are, the feature you are looking for is already there! You can search our support site via this link:

For any features on WordPress.com, the support page will explain how to set it up.

If you don’t find what you are looking for, just let me know what you’d like to achieve with a plugin, and I’ll see if we have something similar!
