Plugins tab and editor sub section missing in Appearance tab

  I have installed wordpress in my PC which works on Linux software-Ubuntu 14.04. Created an account on wordpress.com a week before.

  I have developed a website misra15.wordpress.com, and I would like to make changes in theme that I choose to develop a website. But I cannot find editor section in Appearance tab. I cannot find the plugins tab also. Could any one help me out on this ??

  Hi there. WordPress.com and the WordPress you installed are two completely different things.

  WordPress.com is a free blogging platform. Here we’re unable to install plugins or custom themes, to change your theme’s CSS you need an upgrade, and you have no FTP access.

  The WordPress you installed is the open-source WordPress.org software. To use that with a live website you need to buy a domain and set up a hosting account, and then install the software to that domain.
