Plugins wont update
-
Hello,
I have been having problems over several months with updating plugins though my web browser. I currently operate what I believe is called a self hosted wordpress blog though another hosting site. When I first set up my wordpress blog several months ago I noticed when It was time to update the plugins i downloaded for example when I first started my blog I downloaded the jet pack plugin and then when when it came time to update it I got a message saying that ‘update failed could not remove old plugin’ and this has been happening more frequently with all of the plugins that I use. I fear trying to update plugin because that could potentially cause a gap in my security and I was wondering if there was a way that I could fix that.
Thank you for your time. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That site is not hosted by WordPress.COM. We provide support here only for blogs hosted by WordPress.COM. We do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software installs. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
Resetting your WordPress.ORG password http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page -
