PNG mage is vague, linking to Google Drive doesn't work

    Hi!

We’re hosting a website, and on this page there is an issue: https://sandwichbarriant.wordpress.com/2016/07/02/menu/

The image is of good quality, but somehow the image is still vague when zoomed in. That’s why I uploaded it in Google Drive, and linked to the image there. Unfortunately some people get a white screen when they click on the link.

How can I fix this? Preferably of course without having to link to somewhere else. Thanks in advance!

    Hi @sandwichbarriant,

Let’s start with this test: linking the full-sized image from your Media Library instead of Google Docs. When you add your menu picture to your page, it downscales it to fit the page, which makes the individual menu items unreadable. If people can click to read the picture at its full size, that should take care of your issue.

There are lots of ways to find the link to the full-sized image. One is to select the image while editing in your post editor. A menu bar pops up above your image with some options. One option is “Edit” with a pencil icon. Click that. There’s a bar titled “URL”. This links to the full-sized image. Press the “Copy” button and you now can go back to your post and insert the link to the full-sized image hosted at WordPress.com.

Another way to do this is to select your picture from the steps above and press the “Insert link/edit” button in your visual editor. It auto-fills the full-sized image link.

How does that help your issue?

    Best,
    Jesse
