Podcast description text – need help

I just started podcasting from the http://vertigoage.com blog via feedburner. The episode description passed by the raw feed and the feedburner feed are both pulling from the text of the blog post containing the audio file. This would be OK except it is appending some junk at the bottom that shows up in iTunes or whatever podcast player is being used. Is there a way to format the post so that only actual text gets pulled into the feed under that tag? I’m not sure if I can post the markup here, but it included in img tag which appears to be a stats token – it isn’t something that appears in the post. It looks pretty ugly to have markup code at the end of my description.

    Thanks in advance.

Just to clarify, the extra markup is not being inserted by feedburner. It’s in the original feed, and references WordPress.

I did a search. Do these threads help?

Thanks for responding. I did see those posts, but the first one was not answered. The respondent just pointed them to WordPress.org.

The second thread just tells the user to use feedburner for iTunes enclosures, which I’ve already done. As I said in my follow-up message, feedburner just passes on the text from the original feed (with the markup).

I believe that leaves you with no recourse other than approaching Staff http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

@vertigoage: did you ever get this figured out? Wrestling with this issue as well.
