Podcast Feed too Short

  Hi,
  I podcast my videos on iTunes, and each new one I post on my blog gets a “podcast” category.
  However, when I checked http://stusshed.wordpress.com/category/podcast/feed/ using Google Reader, it only contains the last 10 entries, and not the 56 odd that I was expecting.

  I used to use the tag video, and when I checked that it contained a lot more entries (I haven’t been as consistent using the video tag in recent times, deferring to the podcast tag in preference).

  I don’t understand why one is limited to 10, and the other unlimited.

  Is it for some strange reason that if I use “category” then the feed is limited to the latest 10 items, but if I use “tag” then the feed is unlimited?

  Suggestions would be much appreciated!

  when adding any feed to google reader, it initial shows the last 10 posts. It’s not a wordpress issue, in fact it’s not an issue at all.

  Except when you scroll down in Google Reader, it normally then picks up the additional articles, which it is not doing here. Looking at the feed using Feedreader also only displays 10 entries, iTunes is only showing the last 10 podcasts, and HowCast is only getting my last 10 videos as well

  So unfortunately, I think it is a WordPress issue.

  Go to settings > discussion and set your feed to show more entries.

  Thanks @thesacredpath – I think I changed that setting just recently without realising how it would directly impact on my podcast. Doh!!

  I haven’t tested it yet, but that makes a lot of sense.

  :) Um – now I’ve reset it to 999 syndicated entries, can I ping somewhere to get the rss feed rebuilt? I’ve pinged Feedburner, but it is still only showing the 10 entries. Of course if it is just a matter of being patient, I can do that, but I want to be patient NOW!! ;)

  Some feed services only update every 12 or 24 hours so you will have to be patient. Check your feed coming out of your blog and in probably an hour or less it should have updated.

  Yeah – time worked. Course my feed order is all screwed up, but that’s my fault
