Podcast help

    I am trying to setup my blog to use for podcasting. Every video i watch or article i read (even very recent) keeps bringing up a plugins menu. I can’t find it or get any to work. I have read there isn’t one. Well, everyone seems to have it. Please help.

    Hi thtpodcast,

    The confusion is based on the fact that there are two products.
    WordPress.org which offers you the WordPress software to download and install on a hosting platform of your choice, and WordPress.com which is a ready to go service that you can sign up for and start using.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    WordPress.com does not allow you to install plugins and therefore the menu option is not there. It already comes with a lot of functionality built in that most users would like.

    If you need to use a plugin which isn’t already available on WordPress.com you would need to setup a self hosted site to do so.
