Podcast set-up

    I’ve used WP for some years. Now I’m trying to add a podcast using Castos. There are a LOT of things seemingly getting in the way to even a trial balloon.
    For one, what is the minimal WP plan that works with podcasting? Do I even NEED WP to do this.
    I’m set up in Castos (likely wrongly), and just want to upload a first test audio file.

    You can publish podcasts on your WordPress.com site and make them available for listeners in Apple Podcasts, Google Play, and through direct feed links for other podcasting apps.

    I am not very familiar with Castos, but I understand that its a plugin. If you want to choose Castos for your Podcast, you will need a WordPress.com Business plan so you can install plugins.
