Podcasting

My WP website will be taken down and I’ll be using a new WP website. My podcasts that are uploaded to my current WP website, can they be migrated over to the new WP website once that website is live? I’m using Castos (Seriously Simple Podcasting) to host my podcast.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, it depends. Where are you going to host your new WP website? Will it be here on WordPress.com or are you going to be using the standalone WordPress software with a new web host?
Since you mentioned that your podcasts weren’t hosted here on WordPress.com but at Castos, were you embedding those podcasts here on your WordPress.com website or simply providing a link to Castos?
Once you give us more information we can try to help you further.

Thank you for your response. Ah. Using WordPress software with a new host. My new WP website (still in design phase) is hosted through Bluehost. I am starting a podcast so they will be hosted by Castos (Seriously Simple Podcasting) as my podcast hosting service. I’ll be using the API link that Castos gave me to connect my WP podcast page to Castos.
I want to get started recording and uploading (but not yet publishing) my podcast before my new WP website is complete. Just like my blog posts they would sit there until they are ready for me to click PUBLISH.
Since I don’t have access to my new Bluehost hosted WP website yet (the designer is still working on it) I’m hoping that I can upload my podcasts to my current (free) WP website, but not publish them yet, but at least they’re ready to go. Ready to go meaning I can move them over to my new WP website hosted through Bluehost when it’s ready to launch. Then click publish for each of my podcast episodes.
Thank you. I’ll await your thoughts. Perhaps the best thing to do is to just wait until the new website is completed.

Hello again.
Perhaps the best thing to do is to just wait until the new website is completed.
Short version: yes, that sounds like the way to go.
Longer version: You’d only be able to upload audio files to your WordPress.com website under one of our upgraded plans. However, we ask that you not use your WordPress.com site to host files to hotlink them somewhere else. https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-guidelines/
Thinking ahead, I’d double check with Castos that the embed link remains the same regardless of where you host which could mean you could prepare draft posts with the embed link from Castos and then when you export your site, you’ll have those ready to go on your new site.
Hope that helped.
