  I have a few questions actually. I wasn’t aware that WordPress.com can host podcasts until recently. Is this a new feature? I host on another site and was wondering, if I was interested, how do I go about transitioning from having another site host to my own on wordpress.com? Will that change my RSS feed (which currently gives back an error when I try to embed an episode on my site)? I know changing my RSS feed will mean that I’ll have to resubmit my podcast to places like Apple Podcasts, Google, Spotify, etc.

  Would love to know more about transferring and what that entails.

  It’s been around for a few years. :)

  For moving your site here, please follow the steps at https://transferto.wordpress.com/

  If your site was previously a WordPress site, and you keep the domain the same, your feed URL shouldn’t change.

  So my host my podcast on podcast.com which has limited ways to edit the webpage. Thus, I use a WordPress site for the flexibility. So, my main concern is that having my WordPress site as the host, my RSS feed will change.

  As staff-blorbo mentioned, if you keep the same domain (by transferring it here) your podcast feed should remain the same.

  What’s your current domain so I can have a look?

  As that feed is on the podcast.com domain, it will change if you host your podcast directly with us, yes. You’ll assign a specific category on your site for podcast posts, so you’ll need to submit the RSS feed for that category to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.

  The feed URL would be something like https://ahistoryoftheinca.wordpress.com/category/podcasts/feed.

  Right, I understand the URL would change, but will the RSS change? Basically will I get a different RSS feed (which would, I assume, would result in a duplicate show). Or can I bring over that RSS feed to WordPress, submit it and it goes to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.

  I’m sorry for my ignorance in all of this and I really appreciate your help!

  Yes, the new RSS feed will be like what @kokkieh mentioned above:

  https://ahistoryoftheinca.wordpress.com/category/podcasts/feed

  You would submit that new feed to Apple Podcast, Spotify, etc.
