Podcasts, Feeds, Plugins- How?

I have a wordpress.com blog. I just upgraded it to enable myself to post mp3 files as audio podcasts on my pages. I can listen to them on the page but now I am trying to link these files to a feed and get it up on itunes but I have come across lots of conflicting information on how to do that. I have read that I may need a plugin but plugins are not available anywhere in my admin area and I have read that plugins are not available on wordpress.com blogs at all. Do I need a plugin? How do I get it? Do I need to buy a domain name and link my blog to that in order to enable the plug ins and my ability to upload downloadable podcasts online? Is it simply way easier to upload my podcast to something like “Podbean” and let them deal with this stuff? I just want my mp3s to be available to stream/download from my blog and also the same on itunes. I’ve downloaded audio-player, feedburner & Filezilla and don’t understand how to apply them or if they will help at all. And if my audio file is too big for Feedburner, what do I do? Please help!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot use plugins on WordPress.com. Confine your searches for info relevant to your blog to the forums here and the Support documents for WordPress.com http://support.wordpress.com/.

There are many threads on podcasting here. Look at the tag https://en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/podcast

It’s not hard to make your podcast available on your blog. Just upload. Put it in the audio player and as a download link, and you’re done.

It’s not easy to get it on iTunes, and the help for that is sporadic at best.
