Podcasts lost from ITunes Store

I have recently begun to Podcast from our WordPress blog and have successfully set up the feed as you instruct using Feedburner to ITunes. My first podcasts were listed beautifully, but then I noticed, as I sent more than 10, that the first ones I sent were no longer listed. Right now 10 are listed – the last 10 I have sent – and the first 11 are no longer there. Reading some forum discussion in the ITunes website it indicates that WordPress have an upper limit of 10 podcasts per feed. Is this correct? If so can this be changed?

I’m replying myself because I think I may have found the answer. On the Settings/Reading page of our blog I found the button ‘Syndication feeds show the most recent’… and it was set at 10. I have raised it to 50 which appears to be the maximum.
Will this make the difference?Will I be able to ‘recover’ the lost podcasts – the first 11 I sent to ITunes – without having to send them all over again?
If there is anyone out there who can shed light on this situation I would be delighted to hear from you! Elizabeth

It has worked! All of my podcasts are showing again in ITunes. What a relief!! There does seem to be an upper limit of 50 podcasts showing in a syndication feed with WordPress, however, that gives me enough time to work out an alternative method of getting them to ITunes if necessary. I hope this forum might be of help to people who find they are experiencing the same problem! Elizabeth
