Poetica Jetpack Issue
-
I have just signed up to use the new writing tool Poetica which says you can post to your WordPress.com or self-hosted WordPress site. All that was needed was to setup a WordPress.com account and then install and connect the Jetpack plugin. I did this and see everything between the two WordPress versions communicating okay but Poetica just keeps saying the following when trying to connect.
‘That site does not seem to be accessible or no longer has the Jetpack plugin installed.’
How do I resolve this?

First of all, since Poetica is not a WordPress.com product, you will have to contact their support to help you resolve this issue.
Second, the site you are having issues with is a WordPress.org self-hosted site. This forum is for WordPress.com hosted sites. The correct forum for WordPress.org self-hosted sites is http://wordpress.org/support. You will need to go there and create a separate account for the support forums there.

Well thank you for the quick response, and I am very familiar with the differences between the two. I was mistaken that the Poetica software is not affiliated with you. I was, for some reason, under the impression that it was an Automattic product along with feeling this is a Jetpack issue not an issue with the Poetica software. Not sure if that puts things on a different path for you from a troubleshooting perspective. Lastly, one recommendation would be to change your tone a little when you write. Saying “First of all” is very condescending to folks who have no idea how you mean the phrase. It’s typically taken as very “snotty”. None the less, thank you for your assistance and I will try to reach out to them unless you have a reason to think Jetpack could be the issue?

I apologize if I came across strong with “First of all.” I only meant to use it to start a list of points. As long as you have Jetpack installed and updated on your site, you should contact their support. If they feel the issue is with Jetpack, you can contact their support at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack
