Point an external domain to a wordpress.com basic site
-
I’ve just created a new basic wordpress.com website. I purchased babyconcert.be at an external vendor here in Belgium. WordPress does not have permission to buy “.be” domains itself.
For the same reason, I cannot transfer the domain name to WordPress.I therefore needed to point the domain where it is currently hosted to the new site hosted at wordpress.com.
How do I do this?

I see you’d like to use your .be domain with your WordPress.com site.
As you mentioned, .be domains can’t be transferred to WordPress.com, but you can still connect them by following this guide:

Hi there,
I’m following your steps, but I get stuck when searching for my external domain. I get this message:

I definitely own that domain.
Any ideas?
Paul

However, I checked your account and it seems that you’ve already managed to connect the domain. I’ll be following up with you via email to continue assisting you from there.
