Point domain to another site

  I am trying to point my domain to a squarespace site. I have tried using the steps outlined on the site, and was able to do it myself in the past. However, when my domain renewed, it changed the site to point back to wordpress. Can you please help me?

  Hi there,

  I did see that your domain nameservers are set to WordPress’ nameservers, but I can’t imagine changing back because in order to point to Squarespace nameservers and A-records must be changed. Can you please try it again? You can set your A records to point to Squarespace following the instructions here:

  Point a Domain to an External IP Address

  Please note, your domain will still be registered with WordPress.com although it will be pointed elsewhere. In order for the domain to work correctly, you will need to renew the domain registration each year or set it to renew automatically. You can manage renewal options through your Store > My Upgrades page.

  Hi Grace!

  Thanks so much for your help! I updated the A name, do I also need to add the CNAME record back in? It’s still not working… Thanks for your help!

  Yes, please add the CNAME record that Squarespace asks for. It should look something like this:
