Point my subdomain to WordPress
-
Good day. I have a domain which is hosted with wix. But I want to point my subdomain to WordPress. I know I can map it by adding CNAME record, but where should I point to from wix?
Besides that, I already have a blog on one of my domain which is hosted with WP. I want to move the blog to my subdomain which is hosted with wix. How can I do that?
meaning that I want to migrate my
blog.abc.com (hosted with wordpress) to blog.xyz.com (hosted with wix)How to do that?

Hi there,
If you have a domain at Wix that domain can be transferred to WordPress.com by following these steps:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
The design of your Wix site can’t be migrated over to WordPress.com, but there are lots of great themes to choose from in our theme showcase:
As far as I know, Wix doesn’t provide the option to generate an export file of your content so you may want to contact them to see if it’s something they are able to help with.
Also, I have added the “modlook” tag so that a staff person will help you out with this issue.
Have a nice day :-)

Hi. Thank you for your reply.
I don’t want to transfer my domain to wordpress.
I just want to host my blog.tfspriceaction.com with wordpress. The main domain will be hosted under wix.
just my subdomain, the blog – (blog.tfspriceaction.com), I want this to be hosted with wp. -
Just to be clear, you want to host your blog on WordPress.com (here) or use the self-hosted version (WordPress.org) and host it on another provider?
Please read the differences between the two and let me know what you want so I can further assist you:

Thanks for confirming. There are no WordPress.com blogs owned by the account you are currently logged in to, so creating one will be the first step:
You can then map a subdomain to WordPress.com with these steps:

blog.tfspriceaction.com is taken.
If you purchased blog.tfspriceaction.com elsewhere, you can map it with WordPress.com Premium. This is what I get. Means I need to purchase the WP premium plan first then only I can map my subdomain?
-
Connecting any domain to a WordPress.com site requires the WordPress.com site to have a paid plan, yes. First create a WordPress.com site and select one of our paid plans, and then you’ll be able to add a domain mapping upgrade for that subdomain.

What if I already have a blog hosted with WP (a different domain) and I want that blog to be point to blog.tfspriceaction.com. Can I do that?
-
Yes, as long as your other WordPress blog is hosted by WordPress.com, you can point it to blog.tfspriceaction.com.
