Pointing a blog to a domain
-
Hey everyone. I tried to point my blog to my new domain of http://www.thenewcareer.org
I did this 3 days ago after paying the 12 dollar fee. All I see is this:
Index of /
cgi-bin/
images/
postinfo.htmlWhat’s the issue? I haven’t heard from tech support yet.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is the root .wordpress.com blog http://thenewcareer.wordpress.com/ and you need to take all the required steps to domain map to an existing domain: Instructions for Mapping an Existing Domain

Okay. I’ve done that in the past when I registered an old domain all through wordpress. I thought doing this new “pointing” thing took care of it.
So you’re saying I need to go to Quahost and do this?
What if I just went back into wordpress settings, domains, then set the original address as the primary. How long would that take to reset?

If you want thenewcareer.org to be the address of your existing WordPress.com, you need to follow the instructions in timethief’s link.
If you want something else, please clarify.
