Please can you assist – I would like to point my website (.co.za) to my blog babyyumyumsa.wordpress.com
My service provider said I need to get the following:
“You will need that info from WordPress which you will then
forward to us. Then we will be able to point to the site.We will need A records and/or CNAME records. As pointing DNS pointing changes management of the domain”
Can anyone assist me with how to proceed?

Hi there,
We have a guide for mapping domains to WordPress.com with all of the details your domain registrar needs. Here is a sample email you can send your domain registrar about that:
I would like to use my domain with a WordPress.com site. In order to do this, I need to point my domain’s name servers to the following:
- NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
- NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
- NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
I do not want to transfer my domain, but want to leave it registered with you. WordPress.com does not permit mapping by setting an A record to point to an IP address. They require the name servers to be updated as described.
If your registrar insists upon needing an A record please contact us again and we will be happy to provide it to you. It’s important that you know that since the IPs we provide are not static, your domain might stop working at some point in the future if it is directed at a specific A record. If that happens, you will need to contact us again to find out the most current IP and then update your A records accordingly.
