Pointing an A Record to WP …

    I am trying to point a domain I already own to wordpress. I have no intentions of transferring the domain.

    1. Do I need a paid plan in order for my domain to be usable with WP?

    2. In creating an A Record, I can only input IP addresses, what would the IP address be that I need to input?

    Yes you would need a paid plan in order to set a custom primary domain.

    2. In creating an A Record, I can only input IP addresses, what would the IP address be that I need to input?

    Once purchased, these can be request via https://wordpress.com/help/contact for the installation.
