Pointing domain.wordpress.com to my server
-
I’ve installed wordpress on my server, but I want to maintain the domain.wordpress.com.
Is it possible? -
You’d need to have wordpress DNS admin add an A record for your server, so I’m pretty sure they aren’t going to maintain your DNS records when you are hosting your own server instead of using them as the host, etc.

Hi:
I´m looking for the same that PRIBEIRO. I have a blog with wordpress (example: someblog.wordpress.com), but now I have a new blog (someblog.com) with my own hosting and would like to redirect the old blog (someblog.wordpress.com), to my new blog (someblog.com). It´s possible?

Theoretically(!) you could add the domain to your WordPress.com blog, set the blog to your own domain and switch DNS entries back to the self hosted. In one of my blogs I see still a domain that is no longer DNS’d to the blog, but I could still set my blog to go there.
There is a chance that this may work out into a proper redirect.
I never tried this and probably never will. If you’re going to try this and it breaks you loose 10 bucks.

Thank you for your reply, but you didn´t understood that I am looking for. I want to create a redirect 301 so redirect the visits from xxxxxxxx.wordpress.com to my new blog xxxxxxx.com
Thank you deltafoxtrot
