pointing original wordpress url to my own hosted blog

  i started my blog on wordpress.com but decided to host it myself because i want some additional customization and functionality. originally i had the wordpress.com url mapped to a subdomain on my host.
  i changed the cname file back and now they are basically running separately.

  is there any way to point my original wordpress.com url to my blog that is now hosted on my domain using wordpress software?

  currently, there’s no such service wich would make an automattic redirect from .com –> hosted blog.

  gotta make “WE’RE MOVED!” front page.

  [may try to ask staff introduce it as a paid upgrade]

  Some bloggers use a text widget in their sidebar with a link in it to re-direct readers and others use a post to do the same thing.
