Hello Corné,
If your domain provider is okay with using name-servers you can use this name-server values for your domain:NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMIf your domain provider requires that you create DNS records then you will need staff assistance for this. They can provide you with the appropriate DNS records.
In that case, please tag this question with the modlook tag on the Tags section of the sidebar.
You can read about the modlook tag here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question
NOTE:
You will need an upgraded wordpress.com plan to be able to point your domain to your wordpress.com site.Read about it here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
Thanks! 🙂

Hi there, Changing the name servers is only part of the process. You will need a paid upgrade plan (Personal, Premium or Business) to map a domain you own to your WordPressdotcom site. Here’s more on that https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
If you decide to purchase the Personal upgrade plan, add that to your cart first otherwise it will automatically jump to the Premium plan.
Let us know if you need more info or have any issue with that.
