Pointing WordPress custom domain to Squarespace?

    I would like to point my WordPress hosted domain to a site created using Squarespace. I have followed the WordPress support instructions to add custom DNS records, however I am unable to edit the A Records to correctly point to Squarespace – I get the following error:

    “A records are for subdomains only. We reserve the mapped domain’s A records.”

    I’ve done some searching for solutions in the WordPress forums and see that other people have been able to obtain assistance from Support, so I’m hoping someone might be able to help.
