Did you get an error message at Tumblr after the steps below?
1: Click Settings (the gear icon) at the top of your Dashboard.
2: Click the blog you’d like to update on the right side of the page.
3: Click the pencil to the right of the username section and enable “Use a custom domain.”
4: Enter your domain (e.g. mywebsite.com) or subdomain (e.g. blog.mywebsite.com).
5: Click “Test your domain.”
6: Correct problems if the test finds any, and click “Test your domain” until the test is successful.
7: Hit “Save.” -
Hi @kardotim,
Yes, I still get the error message after I followed those steps on Tumblr.
Since american-ramblers.com points to an error page, by setting the custom domain on Tumblr to it, the Tumblr page gets redirected to the error page. That is when I contacted you. Is there anything else I could try? Thanks for your assistance.

What does the error message say? Make sure you enter the domain without ‘www’.
The error page comes up because the domain isn’t mapped/verified on your profile at Tumblr. Otherwise I recommend contacting Tumbl to they can check why it’s not verifying, there is a link to contact them at the bottom of this page http://www.tumblr.com/docs/en/custom_domains

@jennyvh it seems your domain is working now. If you don’t see the change yet, pllease try clearing out your cache and cookies using the guide below:
