Have gone thru the WordPress process to the point it asks for an authorization code to verify I own the domain name. Because I just purchased the domain name, there is no authorization code yet. Someone suggested I request a txt verification code. How do I do that and what do I do after I get it? Thanks

    WP.com: Yes

    Hello, @universityparkkansas 👋🏼

I’m uncertain about the domain name in question, but I assume you already changed the name servers to point to WordPress.com?

If so, I can suggest two things:

    1. Change the name servers back to GoDaddy’s, wait for the DNS propagation to complete, and retry the domain connection, or

💡 If you decide to email us, please use the contact form from your account dashboard: https://wordpress.com/help/. We will provide you with further steps regarding the domain ownership verification.

Speaking of connecting a GoDaddy domain, we have a guide you can refer to (regarding the 1st option above):
