politics-appropriate theme

    Hey, so I’m helping to run a new blog for a political club. There’ll be some pictures but the main content will be information about the club and upcoming events so it’d be helpful if the site was a bit more flashy. Anyone got suggestions about a specific theme they think would be a good idea?

    Hey Jerry,

    Carleton NDP… wouldn’t happen to be in Ottawa, would ya? :P

    The NDP brand tends to be very clean. Orange, grey, with a punch of green as an accent.

    I’d look for a minimalist theme that you can adjust the colours on. Drop in a nice custom header image and use nice images in widgets. The “flashy” should come from photos and images, not the theme itself. (IMO.)

    Some personal favs:

    And I’d spend the $30/yr on custom design, so you can do some basic CSS tweaks for colours and whatnot.
